Johnte Potts Makes His ECF debut

    Johnte Potts came into the MMA world with no formal Martial Arts Background. Potts has suprised many of his critics by earning a 5-1 record in the cage. Potts proved them wrong once again Saturday night in his hometown of Bloomington, Indiana when he brought his 4-1 record from Indiana Cage Fighting to make his Elite Cage Fighting Debut.

    The bout started in normal fashion, Potts and Keeney exchanged punches and Potts quickly realized that he had met his match, the bout went to the ground with Potts in Keeney's guard. Keeney of 10th Planet Jujitsu went for a gogo plata, Potts quickly found that he was in a little trouble but picked Keeney up and slammed him. Potts was relentless with his ground and pound attack while Keeney went for submission attempt after submission attempt. Potts found him self in a few tight spots during the first round but was able to over power Keeney and Slam his way out of them.

    Round Number Two Started in a Simular fashion, and went to the ground rather quickly were Keeney wanted it to be. This time Potts defended the Gogo Plata attempt but landed straight into a Triangle attempt. Potts Slammed Keeney once again to escape. Keeney attempted an arm bar and was slammed by Potts again. Keeney then went for a Heel Hook, It looked to be locked in but he let it go and Potts quickly took Keeneys back and finished him with a rear naked choke for his first Elite Cage Fighting victory!
