Joe "The Hammer" Mundy

2-2

Super Heavy

Owen County Boxing and MMA

Joe Mundy came into the sport of MMA at a disadvantage. Mundy had never had any MMA experiance, he had never even been in an actual fist fight. Joe Mundy stepped into the cage for the very first time with No Training at all. He preformed quite well for a guy with no fighting experiance but was defeated in his first bout. Mundy didn't give up, in fact he enjoyed the rush of being in the cage.

Mundy tried once again and entered the cage with an 0-1 record against a much larger opponent and was defeated once again. Joe Mundy refused to give up, he found a Team to train with. This Gym was Owen County Boxing and MMA, Mundy began training as much as he could under coach Rick Zufall and Team Mate/ Coach Michael "Booger" Shields.

Mundy entered the cage once again on March 6th, 2010 and completly dominated his oponent. He trained a bit more, and entered again on April 24th, 2010 where he again domintated his opponent.

Mundy is a great guy with a ton of heart, and we think that he is going to be a top heavyweight in the future. He will look to improve his 2-2 record in Bloomington, Indiana May 22nd for Indiana Cage Fighting, and there is a very high chance of it being for the Championship Belt.
