INDIANA CAGE FIGHTING IN SALEM INDIANA WAS INTENSE!!!
(READ AND DISCUSS)
Shonie Carter was in the crowd signing autographs and even cornering fighters, it was a packed house in Salem, Indiana. Most came to see The "Badass" himself Shonie Carter, and the well anticipated Title fight between Michael "Booger" Shields and Jamal " The Hitman" Morgan. The show in Salem kept us on our toes all the way from the first Juniors Bout between Ty Sykes and Dillon LaMaster all the way to the last bout of the night. Shonie Carter was Inducted into the Hall of Fame for a second time in two years, and was a great presence to have at this event. If you haven't had a chance to check out an Indiana Cage Fighting event, I suggest that you do. They will be in Columbus, Indiana On October 24th.
There where many exciting fights in Salem, we want to tell you about a couple.

We had a bit of a SCARE in one of the first bouts of the night, a Juniors Grappling bout between Tyler Sykes and Dyllan LaMaster.
The bout started as usual with the two juniors fighting for position. Sykes got a take down early in the first round and suprisingly
didn't sink in his signature choke. LaMaster was clearly outmatched my Sykes' power at only 115 pounds. The two stood back up
and Sykes picked LaMaster up Slamming him head first on the mat with a loud stomach turning thud. LaMaster was out cold stiff
on the mat. Dr. Jim Thomas immediatly called the STAT EMT's that are always on stand by at Indiana Cage Fighting events. both
the ICF staff and STAT crew did an amazing job of stabilizing the junior LaMaster, and Keeping his distrought mother calm. LaMaster
was taken out on the stretcher and to the local hospital at the request of his mother. The tough LaMaster later came back to watch
the rest of the fights.
Very well anticipated 155 Championship Fight between Michael " BOOGER" Shields and Jamal "The Hitman" Morgan
It has been nearly a month since Michael Shields challenged Jamal Morgan for his I.C.F. 155 Title. For those of you who did't catch it here is what "Booger" had to say in a forum right here at FightingFury,
"I am here to gain as much experience as I can, and to do that I need to fight the best. SO......Jamal, I say this with love and respect, I'm coming to take that title!" Michael "Booger" Shields must be a man of his word, because he did just that in Salem, Indiana Saturday Night.
This was in my opinion the "Fight of the Night". Shields came into the cage with sheer determination, you could see it on his face, and he was focused on one goal. Shields completely dominated Morgan in all aspects of this fight. Morgan only landed one strike in the fight that didn't make it out of the first round. Shields landed some beautiful head kicks early in the first round before taking Morgan to the ground. It looked as if Morgan could have a chance as he lande with Shield's head in a partial but tight guilitine. Shields worked his way out of Jamals grasp, passed gaurd, mounted up, and went to town. Many people in the crowed thought that it should have been stopped with Shield's ground and pound, but this is a Title fight. The fighters stood back up where Shields continued to dominate with a few more kicks, Shields finished the fight just before the rounds end, with a flurry of combinations with Morgan against the cage.
Michael "Booger" Shields CURRENT I.C.F. and E.C.F. 155 Champion. He is going to be around for awhile!
